It is said that the real asset of a company is its own employees. They serve as the lifeblood of the company. The employees set the wheels of the company in motion and provide the company with new ideas. Without its employees, the company will not be able to function. It is therefore vital for the company to take care of its employees, be aware of their needs and recognize their efforts done for the company.

In a study previously conducted, it was found out that the feelings of the employee contribute a great factor to his own ability to be productive. Because of the fixed structure of a company, with the executives making all the decisions for the company’s future, the employee tends to feel disconnected with the concerns of the company and begins to think that he is only there for the money.

Just like your biological body, each part has its own designated function that it performs meticulously in order for your body to function very well as a whole. If one of your body parts fails to do its assigned task, pretty soon the whole body will suffer.

Similar to the parts of your body, each and every individual of a business organization contributes to its growth and continued existence. Regardless whether you are a part owner, an officer or just a common employee of that business entity, you affect the charted course your company is taking.

It is therefore essential that the company should have an excellent employee motivation program that aims to recognize the contributions made by its employees. Such program should also be able to make its employees feel important so that they would feel good about their jobs and about themselves. It has been proven several times already that those employees who feel good about themselves bring out the best positive results.

Aside from the motivation program for employees instituted by the company, the executives should take it upon themselves to be able to know how to motivate employees. A simple pat on the back in recognition for a job well done, or visiting an employee’s desk to friendly coach him on how to do better in his assigned task, goes a long way.
